Therapy for When Life Feels Heavy

My name is Melanie Boccio, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York, as well as an out-of-state Telehealth Provider for Florida residents. I specialize in helping individuals with anxiety, depression, and self-esteem challenges to break through the barriers to a free, more authentic life.

A Safe Space to Be
Seen and Supported

Therapy is a deeply personal journey, and I understand how difficult it can be to open up, especially at first. That’s why I prioritize creating a space where you feel safe, heard, and never judged. Building trust and genuine connection is at the heart of my practice, and I believe healing begins when you feel truly seen and supported.

You Deserve Support That’s Real

Struggling does not mean something is wrong with you. It means you are human and in need of support. Whether you’re dealing with overwhelming thoughts, low motivation, or the weight of self-doubt, I help you understand your patterns and take meaningful steps forward, one session at a time.

Therapy That Meets You Where You Are

Therapy sessions are offered exclusively via secure Zoom video calls, so you can show up from the comfort of home. While I'm licensed for in-person therapy in New York, I’m currently seeing all clients through telehealth.

What I Offer

  • Individual Telehealth Therapy

  • A Therapist That Gets It

  • Therapy From the Comfort of Your Own Home

Meet Melanie

Today, I’m proud to be in private practice doing the work I love, but my journey here was shaped by both professional training and personal experience. I hold a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Long Island University and have supported clients through substance use, couples work, group therapy, and more.

Each experience—and every client—has taught me that healing isn’t one-size-fits-all. Therapy with me is flexible, culturally responsive, and built around your story, values, and pace.

“I sought therapy with Melanie due to day-to-day anxiety, often spending hours fixated on minor events or catastrophizing future scenarios. Right off the bat she was easy to connect with, and I felt like I was in a safe space. She helped me establish my goals for therapy, and throughout our work together, she was diligent in checking in on the progress of said goals and offering ways we could get closer to reaching them. Melanie gave me a toolbox full of techniques to help with my anxiety, people-pleasing, and catastrophizing. I feel more confident in my thoughts and feelings, as well as drawing boundaries. I highly recommend her if you're looking for someone who is attentive, professional, warm, and relatable.”
